The Client: The client
connects millions of targeted buyers with targeted sellers
over a global network of distribution partners. They allow
advertisers to gain complete visibility into the sales cycle
and provide tools and intelligence to further increase performance
and reduce waste.
The Challenge: The main
challenge for this project was to provide very good documentation
skills along with highly optimized architecture solutions
for their requirements. QA of all the modules developed
in Impetus was to be performed, the client also wanted load
testing along with black box testing of the services.
The Solution: Impetus
put together a team of software engineers to work in this
project. They ensured consistent and uniform communication
with the client through weekly telephone call and regular
email updates. This also ensured smooth proceeding of work
and all queries are solved well in time.
This project consists of various functional modules like
ISAPI applications, Web services and a search engine. The
ISAPI application is implemented in C++ and it is used to
process the search request and auto bidding process. The
requests are sent through Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ).
The main search engine is implemented in Microsoft SQL server.
Web services are designed in C# and all the interfaces are
implemented in ASP.Net. Impetus provided an optimal solution,
made all deliveries on time with complete documentation
and full QA support.
The Benefits: One of
the main reasons for client to go for offshore development
was faster development and well-documented design and requirements.
Impetus used its expertise on these parameters and delivered
well-designed and well-documented modules. The offshore
model helped fix the issues overnight due to the time difference
advantage; this significantly improved the pace of taking
the modules to the actual production environment.
