The Client: A large player in the Telecom space in USA. Based in Washington, D.C., the client is a trusted, neutral provider of technology services to telecommunication providers in North America and offers Internet service around the world.

The Challenge: The client wanted to work with a vendor who understood the intricacies of the telecommunications industry in the USA and had the expertise to develop core components for enabling and enhancing its Local and Wireless Number Portability (NP) solutions.

The Solution: Impetus built the re-usable generic part of the product core, and has also participated in successful customization, deployment, and integration of the client's product suite. Impetus is also involved in developing core components - for achieving supply chain automation for service providers and trading partners. Using these, the messages can be validated for adherence to each party's business rules and can be translated from the trading partner's proprietary format to the supplier's message format and vice-versa.

Impetus continues to make fundamental contributions to the development and maintenance of the four products that are central to client's NP solution:

- Wireless NP Process Manager
- Wireless NP Gateway
- Suite of Local Service Request Gateways for wire line services
- SOA Gateway

The Benefits: Impetus developed the components in such a way that it fit in the client's reusable/ scalable components framework, while strictly adhering to their architectural constraints.
Impetus ensured that it meets all schedules for delivering the project milestones to the client.
