The Client: The client is a provider of hosted execution management solutions and services to some of the world’s most prominent companies including Microsoft, Sony, and EMC Corporation.
The client’s implementation and product development efforts under previous partners fell short of delivering the desired results so the client turned to Impetus to deliver a more robust functional solution faster and at a lower cost.
The Challenge: Client wanted to develop a solution that would provide the functional capabilities to tackle real-life business issues:
- To co-ordinate the multitude of operational milestones
- To create, update, manage, and view a network of work commitments made between all project
constituents
- To build and execute plans from a series of commitments and enable users to quickly see and
manage the progress of all related commitments
Client was an early stage start-up company that wanted to leverage a 100% offshore development strategy, minimizing the need for large upfront capital requirement
The Solution: At the direction of the client’s executive visionaries, product management team and CTO, Impetus designed and developed a solution called the Commitment Network. It is a Rich Internet Application (RIA) based on a SaaS (Software as a Service) model intended to allow the users to co-ordinate a multitude of operational milestones. It is a web-based tool, which creates a visible network of organizational commitments (tasks) to ensure that the challenge of large scale execution occurs in an effective way. It actually links, tracks, and measures people’s commitments both within and across organizations.
It provides the following technical competencies:

The Benefits: Impetus delivered a fully integrated team to support design, development, QA/test and post production support using a 100% offshore team and a white box engagement model.

Initial deliveries of product were made to support major prospect demonstrations leading to initial
commitments from marquee prospects. Very high market acceptance of the new offering.

client’s executive team to closely monitor the offshore team’s progress and work assignments.
