Indore, December 1, 2005: Mr. Praveen Kankariya, CEO, Impetus Technologies, was in town, and delivered a lecture on ‘The Entrepreneurial Spirit: Impetus Success Story” at the SGSITS yesterday. Mr. Kankariya needs no introduction to Indore – he started Impetus here in 1991, and has since then grown the company to over 500 employees, spread over 6 cities in India and USA. Impetus works on design and development of software products, the technology focus being very close to Praveen’s heart. Impetus, which is growing its workforce at an impressive 100% year on year, has established itself as a premium Product Engineering and R&D company.

Praveen, an alumnus of SGSITS himself, had a very open and candid discussion with the students at the institute. He inspired them to follow their dreams and not get tied down by peer limitations or social expectations. He feels that struggle and hard work are an integral part of every success story, and urged the students to aspire for the best in life. He said “It is very easy to sit back and let the situation control your destiny, but it is only those who get up and fight for their rights that destiny really smiles at.”

Impetus was a dream that a close-knit group of engineers including Praveen realized, and are today proud of the reputation and credibility that the company and each of its employees enjoy. Impros, as they are called, work with clients such as Circle Financial, Miva, Navio, NeuStar, 3M, Dun and Bradstreet, Servigistics, Scalix, - all leaders in their respective domains. With exponential growth for the company at its facilities at Noida, Hyderabad and Indore, Impetus plans to recruit almost 200 engineers before the end of this financial year, and has plans to hire close to 300 fresh graduates before December 2006.
