Impetus technologies today announced the appointment of Jerry Malec as President. In his new role, Jerry will insure that the company’s growing client base of leading edge software companies is properly served through Impetus’ array of outsourced R & D services. Central to that responsibility, and one of Impetus’ key differentiators is the application of advanced technologies that facilitate rapid time to market, improved product quality and an overall reduction in product development costs.

Prior to joining Impetus, Jerry served as the founding Chairman of Servigistics, a leader in enterprise class supply chain software, serving large corporate clients in the field service area. Jerry is a seasoned executive in the software and technology area - his experience at General Manager and CEO levels of Checkmate Electronics, IBM and Apple Computer have made him a leader in the systems, software and systems integration service marketing arena.

While working at IBM, he developed independent channels of distribution for IBM systems and application software for IBM mid range systems area. At Checkmate, he was instrumental in securing the industry leading position in payment automation solutions for major retailers and banks throughout the US.

Jerry has a Bachelors of Science degree from Wayne State University, and he performed his Masters studies at the University of Michigan.
