Doing our bit:
Impetus understands and appreciates its obligations towards the society. It is dedicatedly involved in assisting the needy and underprivileged through social work and is working consistently towards the interests of those in needs. Being committed to do its bit to lessen problems of the marginalized sections of the society, it has formed the team
iCare in India to impart support to the underprivileged.
iCare represents Impetus’ strong social conscience. It consists of Impetus employees and their family members who work together towards contributing in the areas of education, community and social development. The resources are channelized in a structured manner to benefit those, who need them the most. It follows two channels for assistance-first, by extending direct financial support, and second, by providing access to time and resources.
Impetus focuses on following members of the social community:
- Orphaned and homeless children
- The elderly
- Marginalized sections of society
- Victims of Natural Disasters
Different Initiatives :
- In 2006,
iCare organized a workshop on English Speaking for the students of Government High School, Vijaynagar, Indore and donated them books for various professional entrance exams. Three students of that institute cleared the PET or Pre-Engineering Test and were placed in recognized institutes and another student cleared P.M.T or Pre Medical Test.
iCare also provided them with a full scholarship that will enable these students to complete their studies.
- iCare also donated study materials and computers for setting up of the Computer Center, to Parivartan Sanstha, a local NGO in Indore in 2006.
- Each year,
iCare collects donations from its employees including their unused clothes, stationery, shoes, winter wears, toys etc. for its Year-end Charity drive. It has tied up with the local NGOs, Navjyoti Foundation in New Delhi, and Parivartan Sanstha in Indore, which collect the donations and give them out to the needy.
- iCare organized Blood-donation Camps in association with Rotary Club (Noida) and Rotaract Club (Indore) in February 2008 at Indore and Noida for its employees and employees’ family members. More than three hundred employees donated blood at the Camps.
Going forward, iCare will work on new programs that reach out a wide section of the underprivileged, and provide them with basic facilities and comforts.
