Mobility Maturity Model

Home » Maturity Models » Mobility Maturity Model
Mobility Maturity Model (m-Cube) is a suite of best practices that enable mobility in a defined, structured, and comprehensive fashion. The model lists all the significant aspects of a mobile solution, and rates them in order of priority and relevance for a specific context.

The model can be used in each phase of the mobile development lifecycle. There are 20 critical attributes, distributed across three levels, of this model. These attributes are individually considered in the various phases of mobile product development .i.e. analysis, design, development, deployment, and post deployment. The attributes in these phases give direction to the development at a later stage.

The Elementary Level
This level represents early stage applications that support only limited devices and geographies. At this level, there is limited or no attention paid to quality, usability and maintainability, as the main objective of these applications is only to fulfill basic requirements.

The Progressive Level
The Progressive Level of the Mobile Maturity Model signifies feature-rich applications that support multiple devices of a selected platform and target multiple geographies. At this level, a lot of attention is given to usability, internationalization, and quick repeatability.

The Optimal Level
An optimized mobile application is one which runs seamlessly on robust infrastructure, offering 24x7 availability and has the capability to handle memory and battery related issues.

Adopting this model while designing and creating a mobile application helps define critical expectations and the development of features that really matter. Additionally, these best practices help Impetus to deliver better quality products to customers, leaving room for future enhancements and feature additions.
