Object-to-Relational Mapping Tool and Runtime Framework
Impetus has developed a Java-based object-to-relational mapping tool similar to Sun's JavaBlend™. This tool, unlike other tools, provides for change notification to aid development of live applications. It provides for rich object relationship and inheritance mapping, lazy as well as immediate fetching, object level transactions and a deep query mechanism. The design permits for optimal use in two tier and three tier configurations. The latter can be deployed with complete caching to improve lookup performance.
