SandStorm Peak Load Testing Suite (PLTS)
PLTS is a highly scalable, automated load testing solution that allows predicting system behavior and performance. It exercises an entire enterprise infrastructure by emulating thousands of users and employs the real-time performance-monitoring tool, HMS, to identify and isolate problems for faster resolution.

Salient features of the PLTS are:

- A platform-independent tool as it is written in Java.

- Simple and uniform way of performing stress testing on databases, J2EE- and CORBA-based
  applications, and Websites.

- Graphical tool (Controller) to easily create, configure, and manage system load. Using
Controllers, thousands of virtual users can be created that imitate business processes/
transactions. These virtual users can be distributed to any number of machines and can be
controlled from one machine in the network running the Controller.

- Creation of realistic load scenarios: Controller allows to quickly compose multi-user test scenarios
with a proper mix of business processes, virtual users (for doing specific operations), number of
virtual users (to run on a load machine), run length, and rendezvous points.

- API to get test data from external entities like databases and other programs.

- Real time display of transaction performance data, such as response times and performance
snapshots of desired system component, including Web servers, Application servers, databases,
  and network devices.

- Sophisticated analysis and reporting facility of performance data collected.

- Analysis of performance problems at backend level or a network roundtrip time.

- Command line interface to execute and control scenarios.
