Jun 03, 2014

Ankush manages Big Data clusters effectively reducing cluster setup time by up to 80 percent.
LOS GATOS, CA – June 03, 2014 - Impetus Technologies, a Big Data thought leader and software services and solutions company, today announced the availability of Ankush – an Open Source cluster manager designed for Big Data cluster provisioning, monitoring and management.

A scalable solution, Ankush enables monitoring of cluster health through rack-based heat maps and utilization graphs. Customers can manage multiple clusters (on premise and Cloud-based), each running on a different technology, from a single web-based interface. It also provides real-time visualizations of thousands of metrics.

“Organizations are making huge investments and yet struggling to manage and maintain Big Data clusters using a variety of specialized tool sets. With Ankush, Impetus provides a single, vendor-neutral tool that provisions, manages, and monitors all Big Data clusters.” – says Vineet Tyagi, Vice President of Technology and Head of Impetus Innovation Labs.

Ankush can reduce cluster setup time by up to 80 percent and supports a large number of technologies. It can deploy clusters on the public cloud such as Amazon and is available for download on GitHub

With the launch of Ankush, Impetus once again demonstrates its thought leadership in Big Data technology. Impetus recently also contributed to Open Source Kundera ™, a JPA-based object-relational mapping (ORM) tool.  With cutting-edge technology addressing the volume, velocity, and variety of massive data, Big Data solutions from Impetus help make businesses more agile and reduce their cost of operation.
