Company Exits 2016 Achieving Major Company Milestones, Including Corporate Growth and Expansion, Industry Recognition, and Technological Advancements

LOS GATOS, Calif., Feb. 13, 2017 -- Impetus Technologies, a big data software products and services company, today announced that in 2016, the company doubled its big data services and solutions revenue. Based on the increasing demand for its big data services and products, including StreamAnalytix ™ and its data warehouse modernization solutions, Impetus Technologies is well-positioned to build on its strong momentum in 2017.

According to a recent report, the Hadoop big data analytics market is projected to grow from nearly $7 billion in 2016 to $40 billion by 2021, an annual compound growth rate of 43 percent. Almost half of this growth is expected to come from real-time streaming analytics – a market Impetus Technologies is poised to engage with its StreamAnalytix platform. Overall, this growth is being fueled by a desire for deeper insights faster in the journey toward the real-time data driven enterprise.

"Companies from around the world are realizing the value big data analytics can bring. From having a 360-degree view of a customer, to predictive maintenance in field service or manufacturing, to the use of real-time machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve decision making, to predictive analytics for customer churn reduction in the telecom industry, the returns are real and achievable with the proven, repeatable methodologies and expertise we can bring," said Praveen Kankariya, CEO of Impetus Technologies. "We are well along the journey of helping customers build their data lakes, and the time is now to help them realize big returns on the big data infrastructure investments they made during the previous proof-of-concept era."

In addition to posting record big data revenue results, there were several momentum building Impetus Technologies milestones during 2016, including:

  • The launch of StreamAnalytix 2.0, which added support for Apache Spark Streaming in addition to Apache Storm. This established StreamAnalytix as the industry's only enterprise-grade, open-source based, multi-engine platform for rapid and easy development of real-time streaming analytics applications. As a result, StreamAnalytix was honored by Datanami with an editors choice award in the "Best Big Data Product or Technology: Real-Time Analytics" category.
  • The creation of a new data warehouse transformation practice, which is based on an innovative automation suite for assessment and accelerated workload migration. These tools and services are helping enterprises to save millions of dollars annually, while improving their ability to deliver huge returns on their big data warehouse investments.
  • A major expansion of its hiring in the U.S. combined with the establishment of a new, dedicated engineering innovation campus in India. The 25-acre campus will have capacity to house up to 2,500 engineers and will provide employees with access to a sports club, amphitheater, food court and guest house.

"We are known in the industry for having employees that are among the industry's 'best and brightest' in advanced technologies," said Sanjeev Agrawal, senior vice president of operations and head of the human empowerment group at Impetus Technologies. "The establishment of this campus environment builds on our tradition as a premier destination for software engineering excellence. It will ensure that we continue to attract the top talent our demanding Fortune 500 customers will need to compete in an era where every business essentially becomes a data- driven business."
